There is a new buddy in town.

Frederic told he would have company soon, so I joined.
My Iphone license took a lot of time but this week all things rushed and a new application is available on the AppStore: wCalFree. This free app is for the ladies and their friends.

iSort 1.2 is almost ready, but as Apple have decided to close the developers applications manager from december 24 to december 31, I will not be able to send the app before january 1st.

Am I the only one, or is the App Store very buggy these days ? It keeps suggesting updates that I already did, and even updates to previous versions of my apps… And when the update is actually a real one, sometimes it does not work.

Maybe I need to restore my iPhone…

When you upload an application to the Store, you are asked to write a main description in your language, and you can add localizations. For Judo and iSort, the main description is in french, because it is my mother tongue, and I’ve add an english localization. The result is that if you’re not American, you get the french description. Even English (UK) people get the french description, and that’s silly !

I don’t know if I can reverse that, in order to give english description for the world, and french localization for French people. I will try.

[Edit :]OK, I figured it out, the Store makes a difference between English, UK English, Canadian English and Australian English… I’ve add a description for UK English, Canadian English and Australian English, it should be online in a couple of hours.

[Edit 2 :]This thursday morning, descriptions have been updated in all stores. I’ve localized snapshots too, let’s wait again… 

Since yesterday, a forum is at your disposal.

I’ve kept the comments system, but I think it should be easier to use the forum, at least for bug reports and feature requests. I’ve created two forums for this purpose, for each app.

Please feel free to let me know what do you think about the forum.

[Edit] Be carefull, there are three forums, one for Judo, one for Tarots and one for iSort. Please post in the good one.

I’m back, with some news.

I’m currently testing Judo V1.2, I will upload it this week-end, it should be online next week. I’ve fixed V1.1 issues, including the waza-ari awasete ippon and shido bugs. I’ve also added a basic management of medical treatments, as an option (in the app settings).

Tarots V1.1 should be uploaded next week. With this one, I’m going to add players (up to eight) and keep scores in memory. I’m wondering, is Tarots a french language game, or is it played by other people ? Should I release an english version ?

Last thing, my two little apps were downloaded approximately 20 000 times. Thank you !

I will be out of town next week, so I will not be able to answer in the forum or in the blog as quickly as usual.

The site is now in “summer” mode. I will be away for some time without wifi nor 3G, so I will check the site from time to time only.
