EasySat

Need some help for pointing your satellite dish successfully ?
EasySat gets your location and provides you the data for receiving the satellite from your sky neighborhood. Navigate among the visible satellites with the picker or by scrolling onscreen the virtual Clarke’s bell and double-tapping a satellite.
You’ll get true direction (azimuth), elevation and TNB skew for direction.
GPS, Wifi or cellular network provides automatic location.
No data connection is required, the position database with more than 160 satellites, fresh from October 2012, is integrated.
Missing a satellite ? Tell about it in Easysat forum or drop a mail.
The complete satellite listing is below : AMC, Anik, Brasilsat , DirecTV, EchoStar, Galaxy, SatMex, …
Devices with built-in compass display red or green arrows to turn to the right azimuth.
Otherwise you must use a compass and EasySat will provide Magnetic Azimuth so you don’t need to care about magnetic declination for your location.

I see many Echos but I don’t see Echo 7 in your list. Is it included? It’s 119W in USA.
How do you use the app when standing by antenna?
I mean how do you position the phone related to the antenna?
Is there a user’s guide?
Thank you very much for your response.
Good morning. I bought your app “easy sat” for ipad because I need to find Hotbird 6 to point my dish but with a big surprise I can’t find it among the satellites list. I’ m living in Dubai and I know that some people can receive here the hotbird 6 signal. how can I do with your app? Why hotbird 6 is not mentioned?
Thank you
Patrizia Perrucci
Hi ! There have been a major renaming frenzy for hot bird. It’s now known as hotbird 13a or 13b. I guess you won’t be the last confused with those new names
Hi,
I bought your app some time ago and it has worked well on my iPad and iPhone 4. I have recently upgraded to a iPhone 5 and where it normally allows you to dial up the appropriate satellite it now says “Visibility calculation to do”. As well where it normally shows the satellites it now says “Localisation KO”. Can you help pinpoint the problem.
Cheers, Laurie
Hi ! It’s a little system wide disorder. If you could get a position fix with maps it should be OK. Try powering off then on your phone, check if wifi is enabled (it helps getting a fix quicker), and launch map or EasySat. And keep me posted.
